Welcome to High School Health.  This one semester course fulfills the high school health graduation requirement.  Our topics include: health and wellness, nutrition and fitness, non-infectious diseases, infectious disease (including sexually transmitted infractions), substance abuse, mental health, healthy relationships, and CPR and first aide.  This health course will require you to consider the implications of decisions and behaviors that affect your physical, mental, emotional, spiritual, enviormental and social health.  This class will teach you how to become informed health consumers.  You will also learn to make wise consumer choices regarding health products and services, evaluating media information, and explore consumer options in selecting health care providers, facilities and plans.  One of the goals of this course is to help you gain knowledge and skills that will support your efforts to create and maintain balance and health throughout your entire life
